What we know:
Phillip Wilson, from Seattle, Washington, borrowed a friend’s truck to go hiking at on First Water Trail within the Tonto National Forest, east of Phoenix, Arizona.
When Mr. Wilson did not return, his friend went to the trailhead and found the vehicle. Mr. Wilson wrote an entry in the logbook indicating he started his hike at 09:30 am. Mr. Wilson had no known destination listed, and there was no indication he had returned. His friend believed Mr. Wilson was only going to be hiking for a few hours and would be home by midday.
Mr. Wilson suffers from anxiety and may not have had his medications with him.
